Formula for the perimeter of a square = $$4*s$$   ('s' means side)

Formula for the area of a square = $$s*s$$   ('s' means side)

Let us work it out with an example:-

1.find the area and perimeter of a square if one of its side measure 10cm.

SOLUTION:-

Area=10*10 = 100cm^2

Perimeter=4*10 = 40cm
