PARALLELOGRAM

Formula for the perimeter of a parallelogram = 2(a+b)   ('a' means side and 'b' means base)

Formula for the area of a parallelogram = $$b*h$$  ('b' means base and 'h' means height)

Let us work it out with an example:-

1. Find the area and perimeter of a parallelogram if breadth is 3cm and height is 5cm and the third side is 9cm.

SOLUTION:-

Area =3*5 = 15cm

Perimeter = 2(9+3) = 24cm.
